We shot this music video saturday. It’s for Ian Axel’s song, This is the New Year. It was the perfect way to end my NY trip and 2009 projects. I’m really proud of it and can’t wait to reveal the final cut.

i think i posted a rehearsal of this a while back but i keep forgetting how good it feels to sing 3-part harmonies. this was the other night in our apt…rehearsing for chad’s show at rockwood this coming monday, 9pm. i’m looking forward to this show more than i’ve looked forward to pretty much anything this year.

I’m sitting at home with the worst sinus infection of all time and I came across a video that Alex Berger put together of all the music he’s seen in NYC this summer. I am so lucky to be a part of this. Thank you Alex for the time and effort it took to capture what’s so special about the music community here. The world needs to experience it.

I’m getting jittery. I finished a record and it’s not ready to be released but I need you to hear it NOW. If I had my way, I’d shove you all into a room (preferably a bar) where we can drink a little(lot) and love each other and listen to it. So hear me out..

I’ve got 2 shows in the coming weeks. In between these shows will be my album listening party, held at a location in NYC that I will be announcing at the FIRST of the two shows. Here are the dates you should know:

*Monday, Sept. 21st - 9pm
Performance at Rockwood Music Hall, NYC

*Saturday, Sept. 26th - 3pm
Album Listening Party (location tba at 9/21 show)

*Thursday, Oct. 1st - 9pm
Performance at Rockwood Music Hall, NYC

I went through a lot in making this record. And it’s not over. And it’s so freaking exciting and fulfilling. But in the end, without any of you, the whole thing is pretty much meaningless. Thank you from deep down for being here with me. Hope to see you at one, two, or ALL of the upcoming events :)
